Rick Saldan brings a fast paced, highly interactive event to your
college campus that is a rich combination of inspirational teachings and
high entertainment value. His Motivational Magic program will have your
students talking about the event for weeks to come.
As a college motivational speaker, Rick firmly believes and teaches that
the success of our nation in the next generation is completely dependent
upon the success of their education in this generation.
Rick offers the following presentations for his college motivational
speaker series:
1. How to Get Straight A's in College
2. Secrets for Accomplishing the Impossible
3. How to Stay Motivated During Tough Times
4. Selling Strategies for the Small Business Owner
Many students graduate high school completely unprepared for the rigors
of college life. They are bombarded by a sensory overload and
ill-equipped to handle the stresses and demands that they are quickly
confronted with. Rick helps them to bridge the gap from where they are
now, to where they quickly need to be in order to make it through all
four years.
Many life events pop up during college years that can throw a young
student off course, resulting in that student losing belief in
themselves and their abilities to complete their four year commitment
and earn their college degree. The worst thing a young college student
can do in their lives is give up and drop out. Rick paints a bleak
picture of the struggles ahead for the student who strives to get
through life without that college diploma, and then instills a deep
belief in the young student that he or she has the ability to persevere
and excel. Rick gives them a vision for what opportunities are in store
for those who rise to the challenge and overcome the setbacks that might
have otherwise lead to their dropping out of school.
Rick's keynote message, "How to Get Straight A's in College",
teaches students how Rick developed a strategy for studying that he
never had while in public school. While in Anatomy & Physiology 1, Rick
felt completely overwhelmed with the huge mass of facts that had to be
learned every two weeks for each college exam. It seemed completely
impossible. His college grades started to drop, and he started failing
some of the exams. Rick realized that if he was going to survive, he
needed to develop a system for studying and retaining large volumes of
information in a very short period of time. That's when he started to
create and fine-tune his studying system. He went from a D average that
first month of the college semester, to finishing that course with an
A-. Even the professor wanted to know what happened and how he was able
to have such a dramatic breakthrough!
Rick shares his methodologies in how he went from a B and C student in
high school, to not only getting straight A's, but in ranking the #1
student in nearly every nursing pre-requisite course he enrolled in
(Anatomy & Physiology 2, Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, Microbiology), as
well as many of his other courses. Rick showcases the software that he
designed that helped double and triple his retention of facts need to
ace all of his exams. He shares how he tested his software by using it
to learn over 300 facts in one day and score a 94% on his exam the next
morning.
Rick's keynote message, "Secrets for Accomplishing the Impossible",
is a fast paced, power packed presentation that is full to the brim with
inspiration, insights and hilarious comedy. Rick's shares several
astounding personal stories of triumph over daunting setbacks, and
valuable life lessons that were learned from each. Rick has faced
many impossible situations and teaches how he began to recognize
patterns in such circumstances that would enable people to quickly rise
above their setbacks. Therefore, by endeavoring to duplicate such
factors, you can rise above impossible situations and experience a
breakthrough. You can literally achieve what others are telling you is
clearly impossible.
In his keynote message, "Staying Motivated During Tough Times",
Rick shares the startling statistics among college drop outs. College
students face a difficult transition when they go from being a high
school student to the college environment. Many students are completely
unprepared for the numerous rapid changes that they will experience in
such a short period of time. Rick shares his proven strategies that will
enable your students to continually fuel the fires and keep themselves
motivated when facing changes, high stress and difficult circumstances.
While a
student in his nursing program, he suffered a severe head-on car wreck
that resulted in eight broken bones, to include 3 severed metatarsals.
The director of the nursing program said it would be impossible to
complete the nursing program, and he was dropped from the program. Not
once, but twice! Rick kept showing up to class in a wheel chair, and
kept being sent home. He was determined to be re-admitted to the program
at any cost. Students and instructors were impressed with his
determination, and eventually he was able to find someone in the school
administration that was willing to grant him conditional re-admittance
with countless hoops to jump through for several months. Your audience
will be astounded at what they put him through. Rick summarizes his life
lessons in a very powerful way that motivates listeners to take their
own setbacks by the horns and push through to achieve success.
Many
students aspire to being a CEO of their own company after graduating
from college. Owning your own successful business one day is a worthy
ambition that will keep students motivated to persevere and complete
their college education. Sadly, the Federal government states that over
90% of new businesses fail within their first year of business. In
Rick's keynote message, "Selling Skills for the Small Business Owner",
Rick shares his explanation as to why he believes this epidemic of
failures in America is simply due to a lack of understanding of basic
selling skills. Rick teaches an overview of these basic processes, and
then embeds his own hard-earned secrets for succeeding in today's
business world. Rick also teaches the value of gaining "inexpensive
experience" from the teachings of others who have been down the road,
versus employing costly and time consuming trial and error feedback, or
what Rick calls "expensive experience".
During
each of his various programs, Rick employs numerous theatrical magic effects to
serve both as an attention getter to keep the audience on the edge of
their seats, as well as a teaching tool to highlight the message for
each learning concept. The magic varies from hilarious comedy that will
have the room roaring with laughter, to utter amazement where your
audience will be talking about it for weeks trying to figure out how in
the world the magic could have been done.
Many have
said after Rick's program, "This was the best presentation I have seen
